My Amazing book

Talofa lava , Today we have returned to our literacy class . I'm in a group that is called GEE.This Term My goal is to be at least trying to read everyday for 30 minutes. I will be looking forward to achieving in this term!. Achieving this goal is one of the most important things for school. I really want to Improve my grades in reading so that when I go to Collage I can get a scholarship.

This my Book that i am reading for this term called

"THE YEAR MY LIFE BROKE" what i know i little bit in the story is not a fantasy. It contains no superheros wizards , dragons , time - travel , aliens . Well this an amazing story.

The Watcher of the south

Task Description: What i Have learnt is that The Xhosa is a tribe who mainly live in the eastern cape. Djobela is the earth Goddess. The sun God is Tixo ,  Qamata created the earth but however the Great dragon was Jealous so they had a fight . Among this the giants appeared there was one who the strongest and the biggest . They had failed to fight the Great Dragon had killed of them. Qamata was injured he did'nt wanna tell his Mother because he knew he was going to get in trouble. Later , The strongest Giant said to Qamata to make him a mountain. 

So nowaday the mountian in south africa in the city or town called cape town. That is where the giants were laid.

My MYTH AND LEGEND PASSPORT

Task Description: during this session in rotation. I have learnt  all kinds of myth and legends this task was really amazing i will really hope to do another rotation that will inspire me to keep learning.

i have also learnt that Main characters in myths are usually gods, demigods or supernatural humans, while legends generally feature humans as their main characters.

DRAGONS EYE LAKE

Task Description: Learning about the Myth of the dragons Eye lake i have come to know and understand that this myth is extraordinary because through this story there were 2 brother one was blind and the other person who isn't blind tricked his own brother and stole his land . Also , in the story Aristotle was love at first sight but however , the girl that he liked was given to the Dragon  , so Aristotle got Jealous he wanted her . Because the Dragon who was the protection of Croatia. Aristole grabbed a spear and put moon dust then he threw the spear it hit straight into the dargon. The Dragon was in agony he pulled hit eyeballs out and one of the eyes he threw it and the other one dropped and rolled it started to melt. Now in Croatia there is the Dragons eye lake.

Trying Turkish Delight from 300 years ago

Today at School we had a special treat from our teacher . It was an Turkish Delight from 300 years ago.

What i meant is the recipe is 300 years old even in nowadays Turkish Delight is still selling. In Greece it is not called Turkish Delight it's called Greece Delight . The taste of the Turkish is just like a Jelly but there a different types of flavour that makes it more yummy . Having this Turkish is so yummy i can just feel the delightful taste as it runs down inside my belly. 

i hope one day you can have a try or a taste of this extraordinary treat.

BLUE MOUNTAIN IN JAMAICA

Task Description: Today in Inquiry we did a Rotation from Room 1 to Room 5  . In this Session we have learnt that people were nominated to be slave but however , some slaves had escaped . The coffee beans that were laid on the blue mountain toke 10 months to harvest .

Immersion Assembly

A WORLD OF DIFFERENCE!!

Today was the start of Term 3. There was an  Immersion Assembly at Pt England School. 

Mr Burt shared facts about his life and his family's history.  Mr Burt and his family  have travelled around the world and collected  different types of hats. 

At our school there were 5 items held from different teams in our school.

There are Topics that they are going to talk about and learn during this term.

Team 1: Their topic for this term is learning about different types of food they eat in other countries and how they get to school and also what Their Morning routine is at school.

Team 2: Team 2 is Learning about different countries around the world, but they are starting off with New Zealand then they are going to explore the rest of the world.

Team 3: Team 3 did an Amazing race. They are learning about travelling to different places in this global world.

Team 4: Team 4 is using Google Earth to learn about different countries and about different types of food.

Team 5: Team 5 is Learning about  Myths from around the world. We are also going to learn about Sina and the eel and what the legends and Myths about this amazing story.

BLOG SET

Today we have been looking at our blog to see how many blog post we have done in 2020 this year. Well as you can see i have done 103 blog posts. I think seeing My blog and looking at the blog posts is eventually what i didn't expect because Normally i would have around 88 or 90 blog posts. MATARIKI RECOUNT

Matariki Last Week Friday we had a  celebration for the Maori New Year . Matariki is a representative of the 7 stars. On my Matariki Day there were different types of activities that we have done . Well my group was doing Arts and Crafts . It was really amazing. We created Origami stars and wrapped  the cardboard and cutting little cuts on it’s side to put the String inside and then we started to form a shape.  My Group was really cool because we were having fun  , relaxing. It was so cool . I Really enjoyed it.
